Center Introduction

An Pin Live Fish Center is the first and biggest of its kind in Taiwan. Our center is located nearby the Westside
of An Pin Fishing Harbor in Tainan City. The base area of the center is about 4,965.48 m2 and the total area of
the building is about 2798.46 m2. The total construction budget is about 90 million NT dollars,
which is invested by the Council of Agriculture (COA) of the Executive Yuan.

On the first floor of the center, there lie 42 oblong, circulated water troughs, which have an arc on both ends.
Each circulated water trough is about 9 m x 2 m x 85 cm and can accommodate 1.4million pcs of seedlings
at the range of 2.5~4 inches or 70 tons of adult fishes, respectively. In the future, the live fishes can stocking
in the center before they are exported, and then deliver by transporting water trough hanged with crown block
or through fish inhaling machine, the fish or seedlings can go directly from circulated water trough into the
live fish transporting ship anchoring along the dock.

The construction works of the main building had been finished in December 2003 and the inviting of public
bidding for operation transfer had also been done. Tekho company (Tekho Group) has gained the bid and the
center will be grand opening in March 2005.
